A reminder that ALL student soloists are expected to introduce their solo performance to the adjudicator and audience.
Introductions must include: performer’s name, name of the school, accompanist’s name, title of solo (and, if appropriate, movements being performed), the composer’s name, and an interesting aspect of the piece (style, form, harmony, technique, rhythm, melody, historical information etc. YOU MUST ALSO HAVE AN ORIGINAL COPY OF THE MUSIC FOR THE JUDGE (WITH EACH MEASURE NUMBERED AS WELL).
